The second trailer for the new Star Trek (due 2009) is out and I advise you to WATCH IT NOW and BE FRICKIN EXCITED about a Star Trek film for the first time since 1979! Especially recommended for those of you who happen to have a new HD screen that needs to be put to good use (*nods to naabster). 1080p, baby!

I don’t think anyone has seen a blooper reel of Lord Of The Rings before, guess WETA must have released it only now in order to get people hyped for The Hobbit. (In case you haven’t heard, Guillermo del Toro is cast to direct the two films, and looking back to Pan’s Labyrinth and Hellboy, I couldn’t be more excited about that!)

So enjoy! I love the stuff with Gandalf complaining about “typical elfwork” and the helicopter flying around behind Boromir. Seriously, that would have made the whole bring-the-ring-to-Mordor-quest a lot easier.
